Dental Color Matching: A Comparison between Visual and Digital Shade Selection Repeatability in the Anterior and Posterior Region: A Clinical Study

The clinical study aimed to evaluate the repeatability of Intraoral Scanner (IOS) in terms dental shade selection comparison visual method and find if difference between these two methods is clinically acceptable. As well as assess impact tooth position on IOS selection. Two experienced raters have selected shades 38 right maxillary incisors, canines, molars patients different days under same conditions using both trio’s intraoral scanner. Vita toothguide 3D-master was used guide reference for methods. Delta E (ΔΕ) calculated each technique color matching observer IOS. Data were analyzed IBM SPSS Statistics Windows level significance set at 5%. Results assessment day 1 2 scanner higher incisor region but lower canine molar compared method. However, this not statistically significant all regions (p>0.05). significantly than acceptability threshold, except second rater region. Within scanner, agreement rate greater central, teeth. a reliable instrument method, especially anterior region; however, had an its repeatability.
